GO HOME.
This is what it saw:
flickering apparitions of what was,
yet what could be.
It raised its hands,
to conjure the universe
once more...
And yet, it wasn't so.
It came from stardust,
rage and spite
for the old ones.
It was their doing
that wiped out
that marvelous expanse.
Now all there was
was a blank umbra
and an incapable creator.
Blessed to envision a world,
cursed to lack the brush to paint.
It looked into the void,
endlessly staring
into that shifting blackness.
The void ebbed and flowed,
pulsating like a building
pressure in the shell of
the never-cracking
cosmic egg.
